Bulldog Training - The Leader of the Pack - Training Your Bulldog to Be the perfect family Member

,
TRAINING IN ANIMATION :

Training a bulldog is extremely important. This should begin as soon as you bring the puppy into your home. Bulldog training takes a great deal of patience, perseverance and consistency. Always keep in mind that bulldogs like all dogs are pack animals and you as the owner need to be the leader of the pack.

Potty training/house breaking should begin immediately. It will be a less aggravating task if you use a crate to perform this. Along with potty training the first command you should teach is "no". Bulldog training begins when the dog enters your home. Lay down your rules and inflict them with on exceptions. The later you begin your training, the more difficult is will be.

Using a crate to house break/potty train your dog should be done with the allowable equipment. Your crate should ideally be large adequate to allow movement for the dog. Stand, sit and stretch out and have adequate space to paper part of it for elimination. When you begin your bulldog training, confine your dog to a crate that will allow him/her to not feel restricted from the house area. Paper half of the crate with any layers of newspaper.

When your dog eliminates on that paper, seek the area that was used and it may be possible to put less paper down the next time. If you put it in the area of his elimination he will probably go to that same area again. Continue along these lines.

Bulldogs are stubborn and training bulldogs requires you to be just as stubborn. You shouldn't take no for an rejoinder and your dog should Always take no for an answer. When you catch your dog performing

an inappropriate behavior use a loud sound with the command "no". Replace the item he may be chewing on with something that is allowed such as a chew toy. Remember puppies teeth just as human babies do.

Nipping or biting should never be tolerated. This too should be met with a "no" command and enforced each and every time they do it. This is the recipe for all of the bulldog training you need to do. Sit, come, stay and down are the next commands that you need to enforce. It will be an easier process if you do so using a leash and collar. It is important to get the dog used to the collar and leash as soon as he is in your possession.

While bulldogs are not going to be doing a huge estimate of tricks and won't be running around your yard with carefree airs, they do enjoy and need exercise which is ended by long slow walks. Using a collar and leash to walk him will get him used to the apparatus and can then be used to train him to sit, stay, come and down. The leash should be no shorter than 6 feet, even for a puppy. Retractable leashes do not work well during your training periods. There is not adequate operate with them.
